Skiff Public API v1
Your boat's maintenance record, everywhere you work
Skiff keeps the living service history of a vessel. This API lets owners take it with them: assistants, automations, chartplotters, listings, and your own tools.
What the API exposes
read:vessel
Vessel data
Read vessels, health scores, the maintenance due feed, the logbook, and inspection results for the account that issued the key.
write:log
Service logging
Write service entries and push engine hours from your own tools, ships' systems, or automations.
webhooks
Outbound webhooks
Signed POSTs to your endpoint when an inspection completes, a service is logged, hours change, an item is flagged, or a work request updates.
ai:analyze
AI photo analysis
Metered defect detection on boat photos: detections with bounding boxes, a plain-language note, and a DIY-versus-pro read.
Meet owners where they already are
Skiff MCP server
Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your boat: due items, last inspection, log a service. One URL, key-authed.
Dossier embeds
Drop a live maintenance-record card or an SVG badge into a listing, a forum post, or Notion.
Signal K plugin
signalk-skiff pushes engine hours from your boat's own network, so service due dates stay honest.
Keys are issued per Skiff account (Captain and Admiral plans) at Account → Developer. Everything a key can see or touch is scoped to that owner's boats, enforced at the database layer.
